Family Medicine is a specialty that provides comprehensive health care for individuals and families.  It encompasses all ages, sexes and each organ system.  At the center of family medicine is the patient-physician relationship, with patients viewed in the context of their families. It is the extent to which this relationship is valued, nurtured and developed that distinguishes family medicine from other specialties.
